• Question: Did you study anything else at uni or college other than science?

      Yes, before I came to university for physics I went to art school for a year in London. Then I went and studied history of art and italian in Florence. I have been on lots of cooking and food skills courses over the weekend!

      Today I’m at a conference studying ‘science communication’- still mainly science but learning new skills. I’ve learnt so many different things it is never ‘just science’- lots of maths, aeroplane engineering, chemistry of molecules. I usually learn new things on the weekend or in the evenings.
