There can be dangerous micoorganisms in water that can be hazardous to health. These usually come from animal or human waste contaminating the water. We here check for E.coli and salmonella which can make you very ill and glad to say we dont find them very often in treated water.
There can also be health problems caused by naturally occurring metals in water. There is research to suggest that high levels of aluminium has been linked to Altzimers disease and lead from lead pipes in older houses has been linked to problems in the brain. These are why we test for a wide range of metals and report back if we find any at the health levels.
