      AMAZING question !

Inks conduct electricity because of what is dissolved inside the liquids. The liquids contain little molecules that can conduct. they are made from carbon atoms that are linked in a special way. When the carbon atoms hold hands with each other, the little electrons inside the carbons can all move around. So when we plug them into a battery all of the little electrons in the carbons wake up and start moving in one direction. The flow of the little electrons is electricity, so the inks conduct. In the special conductive inks, this makes them glow- so we use them as light emitters!
