        Offt cheeky question Moles ! I make enough to survive and live very nicely in London. PhD students in London make about £1300 a month, but we don’t pay fees like tax. It isn’t a huge amount of money, but is okay if you cycle everywhere and don’t pay for the tube or for petrol. I spend nearly all my money on science to take to schools and food to cook!

        Professors and academics make more, maybe £30-60,000 a year depending on how old they are or how good they are!
