• Question: How on earth can you make a curved tv

      The curved TV is an OLED TV ! So that is great, it is just what I do ! OLEDs (organic light emitters, made from molecules of carbon rather than hard pieces of silicon) can get really great colours, like really black blacks and really bright other colours. It gives good resolution. The curved part is to try and minimise reflections. Our molecules can be dissolved in solvents and made into conductive solutions, then printed on to plastic surfaces or circuits. Because the circuits are plastic, they can be bent. The tricky part is then making curved glass. It’s really hard to do and expensive. They have to heat the glass to 700 C to be able to melt the chemical bonds and bend it!
