Oft- tough one Erin. It’s actually a really good question- we are obsessed with trying to find life on mars, and have been trying for ages with a special space mission called ‘Rover’.
We first thought we could in the 1800s, when we thought we could see straight lines on the surface of the planet that were covered with plants! We were so excited we thought they were canals and that there must be martians carrying water to their crops. Some space crafts took pictures, and found that they weren’t canals and there were no other signs of ‘intelligent’ life. Mars is a huge plant and is super cold and dry, so we don’t think there is any liquid water. I like water! and we need it to survive- so I’d take LOADS of that. There is lots of ice on mars’ polar ends, like Russia, so I could try and melt the ice.

For the coldness, and the dryness, I’d take LOADS of jumpers and lots of water. I’d also take a gameboy. If I had a little space bike (an invention I just created!) I’d have to take my bike too, so that I could ride around the craters and red surface. I would also take lots of scientific equipment so I could find out if there were ever any rivers, or how similar the ice on the polar ends was to the ice on earth.
