Lots of myths started in Greece. The ancient greeks had a lot of myths and legends that included gods and heroes, and was almost like their religion. Greek myths were there to explain the origins of the world, and explain history using a varieyt of gods, heroes and mythical creatures. We’ve always bough mythical creatures to life in stories and art, and they live on through our children and ancestors.
I think it’s because of our love for sharing stories and experiences and legends ! I’d believe most things my mum told me- so if she told me she’d seen a unicorn, i’d believe it!
