Yes ! cloning is possible. It is when we create an identical copy of something, using the same cells and genes. Scientists created a clone sheep called Dolly in 1996 using complicated science of cells. The middle of one cell (a nucleus) was transferred to a special egg cell, which the scientists had removed the nucleus of. Using an electric shock, the scientists split the hybrid cell. That means they got left with two cells, then implanted into a mother sheep.

Cloning is definitely possible as shown by Dolly the sheep. However, there are a lot of problems with the DNA used being old to start with and being ragged at the ends and cause problems when the clone gets older.

        Cloning is possible!
It’s done every day in our bodies when cells grow. They split into two identical copies.

However back in 1996 some scientists were able to clone a whole sheep! Her name was Dolly and she was the first animal to be fully cloned.
